THE COMMISSION PROCESS//

Building an archival character study is a collaborative journey between the collector and the studio. Each piece is hand-fabricated, moving through a rigorous technical sequence to ensure cinematic realism.

I. CONCEPT & SCALE

Every commission begins with a consultation to define the character subject and the physical footprint. Whether it is a 1:1 Life-size Bust or a Full-Body Figure, we establish the silhouette and presence that best serves your collection.

II. MATERIAL STRATEGY

We select the technical path for the build based on the character's requirements. This includes custom hair-punching, hand-painted silicone skins, and high-fidelity resin casting to achieve organic depth.

III. ENVIRONMENTAL FINISHING

To ground the character in its world, we apply specialized weathering. You may choose from our signature finishes such as Cryogenic Frost, Subsurface Grime, or High-Grit Patina to give the piece a "lived-in" history.

The Process

PHASE I: CONCEPT & ANATOMY

We begin by establishing the character's presence. Darah researches archival references to guide the initial sculpt, focusing on muscular tension and skeletal accuracy to ensure a life-like silhouette.

PHASE II: FABRICATION & TEXTURE

Once the form is approved, the piece moves into molding and casting. This stage involves complex material science—layering silicone skins, hand-punching fibers, and meticulously grooming textiles to achieve organic realism.

PHASE III: FINISHING & DEPLOYMENT

The final stage is the application of multi-layered patinas and your chosen Environmental FX. The completed study is then securely crated and shipped via specialized couriers to its permanent collection.

STUDIO POLICIES//

TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT To secure a position in the studio’s production queue, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. This covers specialized material procurement and initial fabrication costs. The remaining balance, plus shipping and insurance, is due upon final photographic approval of the completed study.

PROGRESS ARCHIVE Transparency is core to our process. Clients will receive scheduled digital updates at the conclusion of each Phase (Anatomy, Fabrication, and Finishing). This allows for technical review and ensures the character's "lived-in" history aligns with the project vision.

CRATING & DEPLOYMENT Given the archival nature of these builds, all pieces are shipped in custom-engineered crates. We utilize tracked, insured couriers to ensure the integrity of the sculpture from the studio to its destination.
